Beamback back on after Football League intervention.

Cardiff City refused permission for the transmission despite Bristol already selling tickets. Cardiff claimed that Bristol had set up the beam back facility without permission and a messy public row between the boards of both clubs ensued.

Bristol City referred the matter to the Football league, they are in favour of beam backs especially when there will be sell out crowds and they ruled that Cardiff must allow the transmission to Ashton Gate.

A 35m2 screen will be erected at Ashton Gate for 2,500 Bristol City fans to see the first leg from Ninian Park.

I'm not one usually to make a comment but did this need to be fought out in public? There is a history between the clubs especially at Chief Exec level but neither side look particularly good from this.

Let the fans see the football, (the second leg is live on Sky so no problem), and lets hope the play offs are remembered for the battles on the pitch rather than those in the boardroom.
