Brass: Loaning Lee Bullock to Cardiff was the right thing to do

"I won't be annoyed if Cardiff decide they don't want to buy Lee. Letting them take Lee on loan was the right decision at the time. It was a good opportunity for the lad."

"There were a number of factors - which I can't go into - that meant the deal with Cardiff had to go through. At the time it was the right thing to do and I will have no problem with Cardiff if they decide not to sign Lee."

"Lee did well at Cardiff. He proved he could play in the First Division and other clubs will have noticed that. Lee is in limbo at the moment and, for his sake, it would be nice if Cardiff would reach a decision soon."

Lennie Lawrence has yet to finalise the deal for Bullock to join Cardiff City on a permanent basis. A fee worth an initial £75,000 was agreed between the clubs.

So far Lennie has released Spencer Prior and Gavin Gordon. He has offered deals to Gary Croft, Martyn Margetson and Aaran Lee Barret. He has also given Byron Anthony a one year professional contract.

Barrett is expected to be loaned out this coming season to get playing experience after spending last season as the No.3 keeperonly getting reserve team outings.

Byron Anthony joins Stuart Fleetwood and Nicky Fish as youth players given professional contracts.

Croft and Margetson are both thought to be close to agreeing their new offers from Cardiff City.
