C:WindowsTempphp4B06.tmpMore comments have emerged from Vincent Tan this week. City's 'crazy, mad' owner believes the colour change has put Cardiff on the map.

Despite fan fall out Tan thinks it was worthwhile.

“When I weigh up the pros and the cons, I would say that there are more benefits for changing to red,” said Tan.

“First of all, it has the result that Cardiff City is important all over the world.

“It is everywhere, all over the world, that this crazy owner has changed the colour from blue to red.

“Suddenly it is being reported all over the world and Cardiff City is important. Everybody knows about Cardiff. Before, not many people knew about Cardiff!

“We were famous before we were promoted from the Championship because I changed the colour. So then I’m crazy, I’m mad, I’m the worst owner?

Tan also had more to say on the departure of Malky Mackay (pictured together before the relationship turned sour).

“We got promoted and I gave £50m to my manager to spend, and he spent it so bad that I said: “what has happened?,” added Tan.

“I wanted to fire him immediately. But I did not fire him immediately because we were mid-table and the fans would go crazy if I fired him.

“So I waited for two months later and then I fired him. So I think I made a mistake and I should have fired him earlier."

Tan is curently planning to invest in another European club and has declared he part of a group investing in a new MLS franchise.
