City and Liverpool warm up for Cup tie with home draws

City were far from convincing and a point was not enough to stop booing at the final whistle.

Liverpool also secured a home point. They faced Arsenal and for most of the match Liverpool led from a Steven Garrard goal but Fabregas scored for Arsenal in the last 10 mins. Liverpool were not great and spent most of the match chasing the Gunners.

For Cardiff, this weeks game is a no lose situation. We are not expected to win. Liverpool will be resounding favourites and they will be under most pressure to get a decent result.

It's a break from league action for City, a day out for the supporters who'll get a chance to see the team play at Anfield before this place of sporting history is knocked down. 6,000 of us got the chance to see the team play at Highbury one last time and 5,600 tickets have been sold to City for this cup tie on Wednesday.

The match is not being shown live on TV but Liverpool FC's own TV channel (which i beleive is available free on VirginMedia) is showing the game in full from midnight on Wednesday.
