City guaranteed to face Div 1 or Premier team in Worthy Cup

Cardiff City along with the other second and third division teams to progress into round two find themselves as second seeds.

The draw will see top seeds playing second seeds so City are guranteed a first division or Premiership team. City will face one of the following.

Birmingham City, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Middlesbrough, Charlton Athletic, Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Burnley, Coventry City, Crystal Palace, Derby County, Gillingham, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Sheffield United, Wimbledon and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 24 winners will be joined in round 3 by the 8 Premiership clubs who are competing in Europe, they have been given bte's into the third round. They are

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers and Fulham.

The draw takes place tomorrow on SkySport's Soccer Saturday show at 2.30pm.

The draw for the LDV Vans Trophy first round will also be on SkySports. This time on the Soccer AM show on Saturday September 21st.
