City will travel for FA Cup tie

Last updated : 27 November 2002 By Michael Morris
The match will take place on Saturday December 7th with a 1pm kick off.

The BBC will show extended highlights from the game before they show Oxford Utd v Swindon live later in the afternoon.

Obviously the game will be all ticket with City expected to get approx 750 tickets out of an estimated 5000 capacity.

Crabble has seating and terracing and the home team have announced they will be charging £15 for the seats and £13 to stand. I would imagine away supporters will get the same rates.

Margate chairman Jim Parmenter said of the decision to host the match

"We had to be sure we could host the game properly, as Cardiff are likely to bring a lot of supporters. We had to see what the FA policy was but switching was by no means our first choice. It's a home game for us and it's a tough thing to ask your supporters to travel away to an FA Cup tie when you've been drawn at home."

Cardiff City have announced that tickets will be available initially to season ticket holders who went to Tranmere (they have records on the database of the fans who purchased tickets for the first round game.) Then to season ticket holders who attended last nights game.

Exact ticketting details will be available laster this week.
