James Collins came through 90 mins of a friendly reserve team game at Yeovil yesterday and according to the Echo is set to start against Crewe on Saturday.

It's suggested that Collins will partner Daniel Gabbidon in central defence with Tony Vidmar moving to left back.

The game at Yeovil, arranged without any publicity was won by City 1 - 0 with a goal from Danny Thomas.

The Echo also reports that Willie Boland will miss Saturday's match so Lee Bullock could be in line for a first start.

Peter Thorne is in plaster with his foot injury but that should be removed soon and he could be back in light training in 2 or 3 weeks time.

More team newx available on Friday.
