Cardiff City U23's pre-season campaign was ending in defeat half way through their final game at WBA on Tuesday. But a second half turn around saw goals from Isaac Vassell (2), Kieron Evans and sub Chanka Zimba to earn a 4 - 2 win over their hosts.
Significantly there was a first piece of pre-season action for Rubin Colwill. Marley Watkins also started as he looks to earn a contract from Mick McCarthy.
It's great news for Vassell who missed the Newport friendly after picking up a knock.
