It's been a Good Friday as Watford and Palace falter

That followed Watford's 3 - 3 draw at home to Burnley this afternoon.

Those two results mean that Cardiff now only need 14 more points to achieve promotion and that's with 9 games to go.

Obviously any points gained at Peterborough tomorrow will reduce the required amount and they way things are going with Watford and Palace dropping points so alarmingly City will probably need a lot less.

Watford's next two games are against Hull (2nd) and Cardiff (1st).

Their current form in their last three games were L L D - 1 point.

Palace's last three results are D L L - 1 point.

City's last three are D D W  - 5 points.

The shocks carried on this evening with Millwall beating Leicester. No win in six for the Foxes who at one time were looking good for automatic. Now they are under pressure to maintain a play off place.

At the bottom the trap door is opening a bit wider for Bristol City. A 3 - 0 away defeat at Derby sees them four points adrift with the teams just outside the relegation zone having two games in hand on them.

Today has been a very Good Friday.
