Keeper exodus with Warner and Margetson leaving

Tony Warner's move to Fulham will be rubber stamped soon.

Last week Sam Hammam confirmed the move

"Technically Tony is on loan but the move is ready. He becomes a Fulham man when offices open in the new year. In reality, he is no longer with Cardiff and we wish him all the best."

This week it was Martyn Margetson's turn to reveal his exit.

'I'm now 34 and Cardiff City have told me I won't be offered another contract,' Margetson told the Echo. 'I'm disappointed, of course, but the manager has been straight with me.

'I thank him for that and it gives me time to sort out my future. I want to play on for another couple of seasons, whether that is at league level or even part-time. I still enjoy playing.'

As it stands City will be left with Neil Alexander as the only senior keeper with Lee Worgan as back up. I'm sure Dave Jones will have plans to bring in another keeper in the summer.

Best of luck, firstly to Tony Warner and then when he goes to Martyn Margetson.
