Ledley happy playing for Cardiff

There was some confusion last week after Joe's agent claimed the player would just run down his contract, the club then said that they would initiate talks with Joe. The whole thing has left fans wondering if Joe is ready to be sold in a few weeks time are are the club going to try and negotiate a new deal to keep him at Ninian Park.

"I think what's been said by my agent was a little bit misinterpreted," said Ledley.

"I have another season on my contract after this and nothing has happened to change that fact.

"There are clubs being linked with me but it's rumours as far as I can see.

"I certainly haven't heard anything and my agent hasn't heard anything, so it's just a case of me carrying on with my football.

"Nothing's happened about a new contract so far but I've got another year left so what else can I do?

"I'm happy to be at Cardiff and playing my football and that's it.

"This has all been a bit of a fuss made out of nothing.

"I've still got a long time left at Cardiff and nothing's happened to change that.

"All I can do is keep doing what I'm doing and playing well for Cardiff City."

Boss Dave Jones is not bothered what the agent has said and wants to do the right thing with Joe.

"We will sit down when we think the time is right and we'll deal with Joe the same was we have dealt with every player," said Jones. "The fuss seems to have been made by the agent, but I'm not too fussed about him.

"What he said smacks of greed a little bit, and what's important is that we do what's right for us and what's right for Joe. Anyone else is insignificant.

"But at this moment, Joe hasn't said anything to us.

"He's got 18 months left on his deal and when the time is right we'll look at it."

Any clearer? No. I guess we'll see what happens in January.
