Ledley injured his knee in the win over Barnsley and was immediately pulled from the Wales squad.
'It's too soon to play for Wales,' Ledley told the Echo. 'Obviously, I'm disappointed that I'll miss the game but it could have been a lot worse.
'At the time I thought I'd be out for some while but it looks like I will be fit for next Saturday at Coventry City.'
Kevin McNaughton, who was also injured in the win over Barnsley will see a specialist regarding head and neck injuries after being knocked unconcious after being on the pitch for just a couple of minutes in place of Ledley.
