"We showed resilience, determination, spirit and character. We've had a few lapses in concentration recently but that wasn't evident today.

I've told the players that there is no such thing as a meaningless, end-of-season fixture for Cardiff City. If any of my players thinks that, they will soon be out of the team and I think that was well illustrated by the way they played.

"We want to get as many points as we can to finish as high up the table as possible."

"I'm realistic. I've been worried about relegation since August and although I can't fault the players for effort, we need to get them playing better.

"It's obviously disappointing to lose, although I think that for the second home game running we were probably worth a point. But we didn't take our chances.

"If we'd taken one in the first half, we would've been looking at a different game."
