C:WindowsTempphpBB5D.tmpReports from Bolton at the beginning of the week suggested that Joe Mason could be loaned back to Bolton for the rest of the season.

Mason had a spall at The Reebook at the end of 2013 and it's thought they want him back.

Nothing official has been confirmed.

Meanwhile Ben Nugent has joined Peterborough on loan. The central defender made his debut in a 0 - 0 draw against Walsall last Friday.

Nugent told POSH's official website.

'I jumped at the chance of coming to Peterborough. I am hoping to get a good run in the team and help the team push for promotion.

'I have been on loan at Brentford, but my chances were limited there. I didn't play as much as I would have liked to down to a few things, but I have moved on and hopefully I can prove a point and do well for Peterborough.'

Nicky Maynard has scored three goals in Wigan's last two League games as the Latics close in on the Championship play off places. Maynard was uable to face his parent club in last weekends FA Cup clash.

Ben Watson, who scored Wigan's winner against Cardiff suffered a broken leg on Tuesday this week as his team beat Barnsley. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

Another player to go out on loan is defender Adedeji Oshilaja. He has signed an emergency loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday until March 12th.

His one appearance so far ended with a 3 - 0 defeat to Wigan with Maynard getting two goals at Hillsbrough against his Cardiff colleague.
