Millwall 1 - 0 Cardiff. Poor effort in South london

C:WindowsTempphpCDDA.tmpDanny Shittu's 54th minute header was enough to beat a disappointing Cardiff at the New Den today. David Marshall can claim he was impeded but it would be a futile argument as City never deserved to go and win the game.

Any hopes of a Russell Slade hat trick of wins evaporated as the Bluebirds failed to muster a decent effort when chasing the game.

Adam Le Fondre missed a sitter in a first half that Cardiff shaded for chances but after the break Millwall stepped up, took the lead and on reflection comfortably dealt with a lack lustre Bluebirds.

There were a couple of half chances and some shows of skill from sub Ravel Morrison but overall they didn't look like scoring in a month of Sunday's.

So still no wins away for Cardiff but a first win for Millwall since August.

Next up Leeds visit CCS next Saturday.
