After last night's game at Merthyr the first team's next match is at Ninian Park at home to Charlton this Friday (tickets on sale now from www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk). The reserves next outing is on Saturday away at Tiverton Town.

First up from the South Wales Echo is a preview to last night's game (which I missed yesterday). Includes an interview with Mike Ford and a mention that John Robinson may well play this Friday. Check it out here.

Birmingham chairman David Sullivan has his regular slot talking about City in the Echo, saying "City must spend big to get into the Premiership". If you really want to hear his comments have a look here.

In other news, John Charles interactive football exhibition will not be visiting his adopted home of Leeds, but will visit Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham and Hereford. BBC story here.

Also, for London & South East based City fans; note John Charles will be doing a book signing of his autobiography in the English capital on Thursday 4th September. Details on the 1927 club site here.

On the subject of our Boxing Day home game with Walsall, it appears City will have to stump up for a hotel bill as the kick off has been put back to 12.00. This is due to Football league rules stating: "if a home club switching the time results in an overnight stay for their opponents, the host club must foot the bill"

Full story from the "Express & Star" here.

Let's hope that over the coming days and weeks there will be some transfer activity to report on!
