No game for 2 weeks as City squad fly far and wide

I have every respect for all the City players involved in International action over the next 12 days. I'm chuffed to see Cardiff City's name alongside players lining up for Wales, Scotland and Ireland (if Leo FW was still here we may get an England call up but there you go).

The one downside is that Cardiff have to postpone a game and wait 2 weeks before the next action. The home game v Watford on Sep 6th is off until the begining of winter and the next action Cardiff will see is at Ninian Park on September 13th v Gillingham. That is followed by away trips to Reading (16th) and Sheff Utd (20th).

Such is life when you are a side employing quality international class players.

Cardiff have 6 players on Euro 2004 duty.

James Collins - Wales U21
Rhys Weston - Wales
Daniel Gabbidon - Wales
Robert Earnshaw - Wales
Neil Alexander - Scotland
Alan Lee - Ireland

Good luck to all of them (especially the Welsh lads), no hiding the fact that Italy v Wales in the San Siro will take over the footballing imagination of Wales during the next week. Updates to the site next weekend will be limited as yours truly and the other contributors to www.cardiffcity.com will be in Milan for the weekend.
