Reserves to face Millwall this week. Bonner returns.

Millwall have stepped in and agreed to play City this Wednesday at Ninian Park. Oxford were due to have been the opponents but were struggling to fulfil the fixture and they have been allowed to re arrange the game.

The game on Wednesday (2pm) will see a return to action for Mark Bonner. The midfielder is fully recovered from his ankle problems and will make his first appearance since playing 45 mins in the opening pre season game at Merthyr.

Bonner will be joined by Jason Bowen, Scott Young and James Collins, all four on their way back from injury and hoping to knock on the door of the first team.

James Collins will play then will join Wales U21's as they prepare for their international on Tuesday Oct 15th which is being played at Ninian Park. Collins is hoping for his first U21 cap.

Jason Bowen and Scott Young have already played a couple of reserve games in their bid to get back to the frontline.

David Hughes and Andrew Jordan are still out injured, Hughes is recovering well from a knee operation while Jordan turned his ankle, damaging ligaments, while trying to recover from a knee injury.

City have five players out on loan. Gavin Gordon at Oxford, Gethin Jones at Weymouth, Michael Simpkins at Exeter (who sacked former City player John Cornforth yesterday) and Simon Heall and Tony Wallis at Haverfordwest.
