Season changing game / moment

Turning point
That last minute penalty from Peter Whittingham started us on our charge to confirm a play off place.

We'd lost the two games prior to that. We were 6th, 2 points ahead of Blackpool, but 5 points behind Leicester and 8 points behind Swansea. Forest were 12 ahead.

Starting with that Coventry match and the eight others played since then we are unbeaten, we've taken 21 points from 27 available and have left Blackpool, The Jacks and Leicester in our wake. Forest are just 2 points ahead now.

After the the capitulation of last year and the late season failings of previous seasons we really are seeing a different Cardiff City.

To show how quickly a season can turn on one moment look at our opponents at the Ricoh. Coventry if they had beaten us would have gone above us into a play off spot. Instead, 8 games later have collected just three points from 24 and find themselves, with two games to go, only just mathematically safe from relegation.

That match at Coventry was just 35 days ago. What we have achieved in that 35 days has been staggering. We even got to beat the Jacks as well during that time.

We just need to keep it going through 5 more matches.
