Still a long way to go in McCormack deal

Roy Keane has spoken about both players saying:

"There is a lot of work still to be done in the McCormack situation, and if Jon Stead is to go the other way there is a lot of work in that as well."

McCormack has been to Ipswich but has not completed a move.

His agent has also had a word as well claiming other clubs are interested.

"I have spoken to Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg about Ross and we are now waiting for Ipswich to make a formal offer to Cardiff," said Willie McKay.

"Once that happens and an offer is accepted we will discuss personal terms with Ipswich.

"However, there are a four or five others clubs also chasing Ross and we will see offers come in for him."

McCormack proved he can still do his job by scoring twice against Burton on Wednesday evening.
