Cardiff City are reporting that Rhys has suffered a cartlidge injury and is immediately ruled out of Saturdays game with Coventry. The full extent of his inury will be known after he returns home and has scans on his knee.

Rhys was taken off the pitch tonight on 36 mins and replaced by Gary Croft.

Fingers crossed the injury is not as bad as first feared.

Saturdays team will now have at least 4 enforced changes from tonights line up with Weston (inj), Kavanagh, Boland and Campbell (all suspended) all out of game at Highfield Rd.

Gary Croft can replace Rhys, Julian Gray and Mark Bonner are likey to replace Boland and Kav while Lennie will be hoping Peter Thorne will be fit to regain his place.

The City boss is still hopeful of a loan striker by the weekend. That would take the pressure off Thorne.
