There are rumoured to be three parties interested in buying Cardiff City from Vincent Tan but the most high profile and arguably what would be the most popular is the one from the Gareth Bale fronted consortium.
Speaking live in the US on Thursday Bale told two different interviews the same story.
"It's exciting news, we have a brand new offer on the table, it's recently just gone in," he said on Front Office Sports Today.
"We think it's a great offer, one that we're very happy with.
"We think it's very fair, if not more than fair, and it's something we hope the current owners will take serious.
"We'd love them to accept so we can take full control and get on with what we want to do and create Cardiff into a club that we know it can be."
Bale later went on ESPN and said the same thing.
One assumes that relegation will have softned the price needed to buy the club from Vincent Tan and this summer fans might get their wish and see Tan removed as head of the organisation.
Things are very low key at the moment with Brian Barry-Murphy appointed as head coach but there are no new players, a very subdued pre-season schedule and no sign of the Chairman or Owner.
Something is happening and there can be little doubt that interested parties will be looking at what's happened at Wrexham and thinking that Cardiff, a bigger club in the capital city, can emulate what's been achieved in North Wales.
