£11,000 bill for Moxey

“The police have incredible powers and can make us play a game with no-one watching if they choose," said Moxey. "They initiated the ban on Cardiff fans – with our support.

“But now we have an £11,000 police bill despite there being not one sighting of a Cardiff fan in the ground.

“The police said they had intelligence there may have been but we disputed that and explained our ticketing policy was very robust – though we still lost the argument.”

Moxey has come under more pressure from the Molineux fans. This weekend Wolves host WBA in the FA Cup and he has allocated one of the home ends to the Albion fans. A decision that the Wolves' supporters are finding hard to take.

He's tried to calm the waters though by offering the moved supporters a pie and a pint for free.
