1 nil Wigan pull clear of Bluebirds

From being neck and neck with City the Latics have a chance to forge ahead in the race for Division 2. Maybe the realisation of a 10 point gap will spark the Bluebirds into action. City's game against Huddersfield is a must win match. The Terriers have not won away for ages. They have lost their last 6 in a row away from the McAlpine and they are bottom of the table.

Wigan won 1 - 0 today at Port Vale. Their 7th win in a row. They have not lost a league game since August, Championship material I think.

Wigan are doing a Brighton and getting the results. Cardiff I feel are in the race for second place. The Bluebirds along with Bristol City and Oldham are spluttering in their attempt to stay with Wigan but I feel the main threat is Crewe.

Cardiff lost today to slip to third place. Bristol City are second on goal difference but they only managed their second home draw in 5 days. Oldham could only draw at home as well.

Crewe are the team that worries me. 9 wins and a draw in their last 10 games in all competitions. 20 goals scored in the last 5 games. Many City fans agree they were the best team to come to Ninian so far this season.

Crewe are now in 5th place. Only 2 points behind City. They are on the sort of run we should be on.

Our season could swing on the strength of the next two games. Two wins would keep us up there. If we fail and let Crewe get ahead of us I really think we will struggle.

Instill some fight Lennie. Make the right decisions. Change and change now before it's too late.
