3 points were massive last night. Division 2 review.

It took am 88th minute leveller for Wigan to stay top over City after yesterday's games. The Bluebirds would have been in position A but the late header by De Vos gave the Latics the point they needed to keep them 1st on goal difference. Before yesterdays games City were 7 goals behond Wigan, our 4 - 0 win has reduced that by over half.

There were good wins for Bristol City, 3 - 1 away at City opponents next Saturday, Peterborough. Also for Crewe 2 - 1 away at Port Vale. The biggest win of the day was Oldham's. They were level on ponts with Q.P.R. before the game at Loftus Rd. Rangers had not lost at home for months. Things looked good for the hoops with a 2nd minute opener but Oldham rallied to win 2 - 1. Their first goal scored by Josh Low.

Blackpool won 3 - 1 at Plymouth to stay in contention.

It's still tight at the top.

1. Wigan 31pts
2. Cardiff 31
3. Bristol 30
4. Oldham 30
5. Crewe 28
6. Q.P.R. 27
7. Blackpool 27

Only 4 points between the top 7.

At the bottom Mansfield, City's next opponents on Tuesday, have 11 points from 15 games. They have conceded 39 goals so far this season. Cheltenham are in 23rd place and Peterborough in 22nd.

So City's next two games are against two of the bottom three sides.

Saturdays full results.
