Purse is one of several players Dave Jones is looking at. On Saturday Phil Mulryne, Andrea Ferretti and Jamie McCunnie all played a part in the win while Purse was a surprise face in the stand.
"I've been busy in the last few days bringing players in and, hopefully, I'm going to be a lot busier," Jones told the Western Mail.
"I'm going to put Sam under immense pressure to bring in the players I want. Sam wants the best for Cardiff and I hope I can deliver that for him, but it won't happen overnight.
"This club can be anything that it wants to be. Everything is in place. Now it's a case of finding the players."
