£5m Earnie linked to Saha role at Fulham

The Western Mail and Welsh Edition of the Daily Star lead their back pages this morning with claims that Fuham could be planning a £5m swoop for Robert Earnshaw.

It's just paper talk at the moment with no word from either Fulham or Cardiff City on the matter and quotes from Earnie's agent saying he's not been contacted.

The full Western Mail story can be found here.

The London press think that Chris Coleman is looking to Spurs' Robbie Keane with a possible bid for £7m. It's also said that Fulham failed to land Jermaine Defoe from West Ham and they could be bringing in American Brian McBride.

Saha will join Man Utd this week for £12m after Chris Coleman said he would only leave "over his dead body". It just goes to show that money talks and if a player gets unsettled anything can happen.

Sam has been quoted in the past saying

"Any player with the potential to play in the Premiership is remaining with Cardiff City. End of story. There is no consideration.

"There is no way we will be selling Earnshaw, Gabbidon or any of our top players.

"To talk about selling our best players at Cardiff would be stupid and infantile. It's just not going to happen."

I just wonder what would happen if a £5m bid came in and the player wanted to move to the Premiership.
