There has been talk about City looking for £10m for the pair but those sort of figures astound the Tiger's boss.
"There's nothing new on Ledley and McCormack," said Brown.
"I personally think they're overpriced as we are talking about two Championship players.
"If you can't get a Championship player for less than £5m, then the game has just gone crazy.
"There are vastly-inflated prices and vastly-inflated deals on the table but unfortunately that is the nature of the game at the moment. It is proving difficult."
