A couple of quick stats from John Heyda

Adrian Alston
This is City's first win at Selhurst Park since April 10, 1976. City won 1-0 that day, Adrian Alston netting the goal. Before today, City had picked up all of one point in their last eight visits to Palace (seven league, one cup), that thanks to a 1-1 draw in London in December 1984.

Today's win is only the Bluebirds' third ever at Palace. Besides the triumphs in 1976 and today, the only other away win versus the Glaziers came back on November 23, 1946, when City won 2-1 via two Stan Richards goals. The win that day extended City's unbeaten run in league games to 11. It wouldn't end for another 10. The resulting 21-game unbeaten streak (league games only) is an all-time club record.

City have now played 25 games away to Palace. Their record there now stands at three wins, five draws, and 17 defeats.

(What John fails to mention is that in each of our previous wins at Palace, 1946 and 1976 we went on to get promotion that season. Now the 30 year cycle has come round again and in 2006 we have won. Will history repeat itself?)
