A double for Cox as City win 'Harry's Game'

City completed another league double with the 3 - 0 defeat of Stoke City.

Kevin Cooper opened the scoring with a super strike from over 20 yards before Neil Cox scored his first and second City goals.

His first one a side foot at the back post and the second a header that went in off the post.

The full match details will be in Nigel's report.

I'd like to highlight a couple of other moments. Before the start of the game there was a minute's appreciation for Harry Parsons and Gwn Morgan. Two long time servants of the club.

I'd like to thank the Stoke players and fans for being 100% involved in the appreciation for two people they would never have heard of. Their support spoke volumes and they were a credit to Stoke City Football Club.

By half time City were two up and heading towards a crucial victory. At half time stadium announcer, Ali, enjoyed a little self indulgence with playing "Walk Like An Egyptian" by the Bangles and "Night Boat to Cario" by Madness to celebrate Egypt's African Cup of Nations victory.

The second half saw Neil Cox get his second goal and despite Stoke having possession they never created decent enough chances.

So it's a great start to the week for Cardiff City. Hopefully we can pick up three poinst at Luton on Tuesday.
