"(Smyth's selection) was probably one of the biggest risks I've ever taken. But if you keep doing what you're doing and people are missing (chances) then someone else deserves a chance to have a go. It could have gone horribly wrong, but it didn't. He was a breath of fresh air.

"Sometimes you need that bit of freshness. We are reshaping the tree of QPR."

"We're bound to be deflated. Clearly it's (Josh) Scowen who played the ball, so it can't be offside (for Junior Hoilett's disallowed goal).

"It's hard enough to score goals without officials chalking them off. That's three or four games where we've had crucial decisions go against us. It's scandalous at the moment. I've never known it as poor, the officials.

“It’s hard to take but we have to move on and think how lucky we are to be where we are in the table and hope correct decisions go for us.

“We’ve lost four on the trot now and three of them I don’t know how we’ve lost them. We were so far ahead. The first goal was like Sunday League and that’s our own fault, but I thought we played alright today in certain parts.

“We have a good group, hopefully we can bring one or two in and get one or two back and we can go again – and hopefully we can get over the disappointment and one or two of the dodgy decisions can go for us.”
