Alexander and Campbell return? Burnley preview

Last updated : 22 January 2005 By Michael Morris
Tony Warner and Rhys Weston could face the chop today after poor defending allowed Blackburn to beat City at Ewood Park on Wednesday night. There looks set to be a change up front as well with Andy Campbell to be given another chance becuase of another injury to Peter Thorne. Cameron Jerome is still nursing a bad back so it looks like Campbell and Lee upfront.

Lennie seems certain to give Alexander a first league start of the season and he is pondering the option of bringing back the steady Darren Williams at right back.

Burnley come to Ninian park in 10th place, 5 points off the play offs and on the back of a great FA Cup upset when they knocked out Liverpool in midweek.

With no game for 15 days a win today is vital for City.
