He was finally handed his first Scottish cap when he played the whole second half of Scotland's 3 - 1 home defeat by Switzerland.

The Scot's were 2 - 0 at half time. Alexander started the second half and soon it was 2 - 1. Alexander though was beaten by a fairly unstoppable shot and the game ended 3 - 1.

Still it's hopefully the first of many for City's No. 1 keeper.

Closer to home Jason Koumas started for Wales in the 0 - 0 draw with Paraguay. The match played at the Millennium Stadium in front of just over 12,000 people. I hope the FAW learn next time and use Swansea's new stadium for this type of match.

Not that Joe Ledley would have cared about the crowd. He replaced Koumas in the second half to win his second full cap and his first in his home City.

Congratulations to all three players.
