Alexander named for Scotland squad to face Wales

Last updated : 12 February 2004 By Michael Morris
Neil Alexander is again named by Berti Vogt's for Scotland's freindly against Wales at the Millennium Stadium next Wednesday.

Alexander has yet to win a full cap. There was further disappointment when Jonathan Gould was chose ahead of Alexander for a place on the bench against Holland in the Euro 2004 play offs.

This time around though Gould is not included and Alexander is fighting out the No.1 shirt with first choice Rob Douglas of Celtic and Dundee Utd's Paul Gallacher.

Let's hope we see Neil back on the Millennium Stadium pitch where he of course won promotion with City last season.

Scotland are expected to be bringing 5,000 supporters to Cardiff for the game. It should a great atmosphere and an entertaining nights football.
