Alexander named in Scotland squad

Maybe this time? Neil has been waiting patiently for over 12 months for a Scotland cap. He is again named by Berti Vogt's along with first choice Robert Douglas of Celtic and Dundee Utd's Paul Gallacher.

Alexander has seen himself move into the second choice goalkeeper but is still waiting for thst first appearance.

4 clean sheets in his last 4 games, 2 v Bristol City, QPR and last Saturday at Rotherham will be giving a little nudge to Vogt's to give Neil a chance.

Great news for Neil, congratulations.

Well done also to the other City internationals

Rhys Weston, Daniel Gabbidon and Robert Earnshaw in the Wales squad for the trip to Belgrade, James Collins for Wales U21. Tony Vidmar is in the Australian squad for next weeks game against Ireland. No place in the Irish sqaud for any City players at the moment but if Alan Lee signs and does well he could force his way back in after being omitted from the squad for the Australia game.
