Apologies from Scimeca

After being outplayed for most of the match City had looked to have earned a vital point with Jeff Whitley's 77th minute equaliser.

Then with just 2 mins left Scimeca took the wrong option when he had time and space in the middle of the park. His backpass to Alexander was never firm enough and a grateful Marlon King scored the winning goal after rounding the City keeper.

"It's so disappointing - it's the first time that's happened to me and hopefully the only time.

"As soon as I hit it I thought: 'Oh no, it's not going to get there'.

"I went straight in and apologised to the lads afterwards. It would have been a point gained if we held on but it wasn't to be."
