Ardley left Cardiff a year ago and joined Millwall but injured restricted his appearances to just 15 and now's hung up his playing boots.

Neal has now returned to South Wales and will take up a coaching role with Cardiff City starting next Monday as Academy Manager.

"I've had a great career and enjoyed every club," he said.

"I'm 35 and not likely to feature prominently in the Millwall side this season, so it makes sense to stop playing and turn my attention to coaching."
