C:WindowsTempphp9393.tmpA stunning display from Iceland led by Aron Gunnarsson has rocked Euro 2016 and send England packing.

Iceland's historic victory takes the country into the last 16 of the competition where they join the only remaining home nation, Wales.

Earlier in the day Italy beat holders Spain but the headlines are all about Iceland and the exit of England.

Wayne Rooney put England in front from the penalty spot in the thrid minute but from the re-start Iceland won a throw and Gunnarsson steped up to launch one his long throws into the box. England fell aprt and Iceland levelled.

Following his poor effort when Gerath Bale scored in Lens, Joe Hart had another moment to forget as he was beaten too easily again for Iceland to take the lead.

They never came back and Iceland to a man played like heroes and kept a woeful England side out for the next 70 or so minutes. The fall out is huge, Roy Hodgson has resigned and the English media and celebrity fans are imploding.

It's being rated the biggest embarrasment at a tournament for England since defeat to America in the 1950 World Cup in Brazil.

Well done Aron, come and join us in the quarter finals.

Iceland's winning goal (started with a Gunnarsson pass) and a very happy commentator.
