Baggies v Bluebirds. Team News

Darcy Blake is likely to take his place in the matchday 16.

Dave Jones must decide whether to give Peter Enckleman his debut or stick with Michael Oakes. MacLean's departure leaves a space on the bench. He would not have been starting the game. Jones can either stick with the Parry / Hasselbaink combination or look to the strength of Steve Thompson from the start.

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has no new injury or suspension problems as he prepares his side for Cardiff's visit to The Hawthorns.

Paul Robinson serves the second game of a two-match suspension following his red card at Hull, while Craig Beattie will be unavailable for the third successive time due to a thigh injury.

Mowbray made four changes for the FA Cup third round replay against Charlton in midweek.

An enforced change saw Martin Albrechtsen replace Robinson, and the Dane should keep his place in Robinson's absence.

Top scorer Kevin Phillips is expected to return, possibly at the expense of Roman Bednar.

Zoltan Gera and Filipe Teixeira, who were both recalled against the Addicks, will be hoping to keep their places ahead of Chris Brunt and Robert Koren.
