Barker wins Player of the Year award

With City winning on Saturday aternoon and just about assuring Championship football for next season there was good reasons to find some cheer at the awards dinner.

Sam, Lennie and the players and staff of Cardiff City joined a couple of hundred supporters for the annual presentation night.

The main award of Cardiff City Supporters Club player of the season went to Chris Barker. His performances this season fully warranted his award and congratulations to him.

Barker also won the most improved player award as well as the Valley Rams Player of the Year.

The voting was so close for the main award. Barker won it by just 1% from James Collins. Danny Gabbidon was third with Jobi McAnuff 4th.

The late Ronnie Bird was named in the Hall of Fame. Brian Clark took to the stage in honour of Ronnie.

In total there were 13 presentations.
