Bellamy and Hudson set to boost Bluebirds

bell_leicesterSaturday's results have opened a door for Cardiff that could see the Bluebirds open a minimum 8 point gap over third place, if they beat Leicester, and still have a game in hand.

The chasing teams will all have less than 10 to play.

Chances of victory will be boosted by the return of Craig Bellamy (pictured scoring City's winner at Leicester in December) and Mark Hudson. The skipper has been a rock this season and his absence at the heart of defence is sorely missed.

Last Tuesday's draw with Derby showed how much City miss Bellamy as well with Derby not put under the same pressure from the front as Bellamy chases down everything.

Bellamy took a few days in Dubai to recover from knocks picked up against Middlesbrough.

“Craig had a few days away for rest and recuperation but he’ll be okay for Leicester,” said Malky Mackay.

“He is a player who works to keep his body in amazing condition and he will be involved on Tuesday.

“Mark Hudson, too, has made good progress after injury and will be back in full training and in the squad for the Leicester game.”

Leicester come into the game on the back of a suprise defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The Foxes may still harbour hopes of automatic promotion but on their current form they should be very wary of maintaining their place in the play offs.
