Bellamy is believed to have told Roberto Mancini that Cardiff is his only choice of club to play for if he's not going to be involved at Man City.
Earlier this week Belamy was heavily linked with Celtic but the desire to return to Cardif was too strong for that to be a possibility.
Craig has been left out of the first team pre season schedules and has found himself playing reserve team matches as he goes through a pre season routine.
Of course money is the stumbling block. Craig is thought to be on £80K - £90K a week an Eastlands. Such a salary is too high for Cardiff, but a compromise could be reached to suit all parties.
As I say, the rumours just won't go away.
