"We nearly took McCormack off Cardiff as well," said Sullivan. "We really rate him as a very promising young striker and a terrific prospect in the game.
"But Cardiff got the better of us on that particular deal."
On Marcus Bent Sullivan said
"We expect Marcus to become a Birmingham player within the next 24 hours.
"We have for the past few weeks been in talks with the player, his agent and Charlton and we are hoping he will come to us at this moment in time."
