Blackburn join Cardiff in next season's Championship

blackburnBlackburn's slim hopes of survival were crushed when Wigan scored an 87th minute winner at Ewood Park last night. It sent Blackburn down and saved Wigan who will play Premier league football again next season.

So that's two teams relegated from the Premier League. Wolves and Blackburn. They will be joined by either Bolton or QPR. Bolton simply have to win at Stoke on Saturday and hope that QPR lose at Man City. A draw is not enough for Bolton.

With Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday promoted from League 1 we now know twenty of the teams in next season's Championship.

They are:

Blackburn
Wolves
Cardiff
Middlesbrough
Hull City
Leicester
Brighton
Watford
Derby
Burnley
Leeds Utd
Ipswich
Millwall
Crystal Palace
Peterborough
Nottingham Forest
Bristol City
Barnsley
Charlton
Sheff Weds

Still to be decided:

One from Bolton or QPR
Two from Birmingham, Blackpool or West Ham
One from Sheffield Utd, Huddersfield, MK Dons or Stevenage.
