Blackpool v Cardiff City. Match preview

Last updated : 03 October 2014 By Michael Morris

C:WindowsTempphpA4DF.tmpBlackpool are the only side in the Championship not to have won a game this season in any competition and it will be a poor reflection on Cardiff if they cannot take advantage this evening.

Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon look to end their run as caretakers managers by being unbeaten in the League. It's only a matter of time before Russell Slade takes over and with a two week international break Slade is likely to be in post by the time we play Forest on October 18th.

TEAM NEWS

Blackpool could be without midfielders Jose Miguel Cubero (ankle) and Andrea Orlandi (foot) for the visit of Cardiff.

Defender Peter Clarke (illness) is a doubt, while Andre Blackman and Formose Mendy could be given debuts.

On-loan keeper Joe Lewis is ineligible to face parent club Cardiff, so Elliot Parish is expected to start in goal.

Cardiff will assess defender Matt Connolly (hamstring), but Ravel Morrison could make his first start.
