blakeWales 2 - 1 Montenegro.

Wales ranked 117th in the World, Montenegro 19th.

Darcy Blake started as centre half for Wales with Robert Earnshaw on the bench. Blake played 90 mins and did well. There were some early jitters but the whole Wales side came into the game as the first half progressed and were worth their two goal lead with strikes from Steve Morrison and Aaron Ramsey either side of half time.

Ramsey was subbed and Wales sat back to defend their lead and conceded one to make it a nervy last 15 mins but they held on for a first victory this campaign. Earnie came on deep into stoppage time to help see out the final seconds.

A shame only 8,000 were there to see it but it will take some good results to get the crowds coming back. Those that were there thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Next up Wales face England at Wembley on Tuesday.
