The defenders extra marital activities with a former team-mates girlfriend (who appears to have made a habit of romancing Chelsea players) is producing a media frenzy as the clock ticks towards the World Cup in South Africa.

Cardiff play Chelsea on Saturday week in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge and it's been sugested that John Terry maybe given time off to rescue his marriage.

This news is now becoming the latest talking point so each the subject is raised then Cardiff City are mentioned as well. I even heard the Chelsea manager Ancelotti saying "If he needs a holiday I will give him a holiday. If he doesn't need a holiday then he will play against Cardiff. You will see the line-up then."

The Sun newspaper reports

CHEATING John Terry is to miss a vital FA Cup match so he can spend Valentine's Day trying to win back his wife Toni. But being in the Gulf state for Valentine's Day on February 14 means Terry cannot play in Chelsea's Fifth Round clash with Cardiff City the day before.

Talksport this morning appealed to fans of the clubs playing Chelsea in the coming weeks not to boo John Terry as it might affect his performances for England. Yeah right, I can just see the Welsh Cardiff City fans showing him some respect. If he does play he'll get a right mouthful from the Bluebirds supporters.
