Dave Jones has taken his City squad to Portugal for a four day working break. The team were leaving today for The Algarve for a team bonding and fitness break.

"Everyone's looking forward to getting away for a few days after a really tough battle," Jones told the Western Mail.

"We're going to Portugal for four days, but the players are there to work - I keep telling my wife that, but she doesn't believe me - as well as have a bit of a holiday.

"We've just picked up six points from two matches, and the players had to work hard for the Leicester win, so we're going away on a good footing."

City have a mini break with no game this Saturday because of our FA Cup exit. The next league action is on Tuesday Jan 31st at home to struggling Millwall. A chance for a third straight victory.

"We're going to a working hotel that's got a gymnasium and sports pitches.

"I think we've shown we're a fit bunch, but my fitness coach keeps harping on that we need to do a bit more so we'll do some power-running, that sort of thing. And I felt it would be a good thing to work on our shape with the new players because we haven't had much time to do that.

"The players are there to work hard, but they'll also get the chance to unwind and play a bit of golf."
