Bluebirds gesture towards Owls tragedy

The Valley Rams and Cardiff City Supporters club have been collecting money this week and will do so in the Rams office before the game tomorrow, to offer a donation to the families of the people involved.

The collection will be handed over to one of the travelling supporters from Hillsbrough at half time during tomorrow's game.

"At half time Saturday the supporters clubs will be giving a donation to the Wednesday fans," said Paul Corkery of the Valley Rams.

"Two of their fans were killed recently on the way home from an away game leaving behind a young son and a pregnant wife...it could so easily be two of our fans."

Several hundred pounds have been raised so far and any more donations would be welcome. Visit the Rams office before the match (it's situated near the club shop, just in front of the Grandstand), to make your donation.

Excellent work by those involved and to the families of the two victims we offer our deepest condolencies.
