Bluebirds surrender four goal lead

The comeback is complete
As the teams left the pitch at half time Cardiff were 4 goals up at London Rd. Peterborough were just pathetic and Cardiff cut through them at will.

Whittingham saw an early effort blocked then Ledley sidefooted home to make it 1 - 0.

Ledley then headed in from a corner (although I thought it was Bothroyd) soon after Bothroyd did score, racing through and finishing from 18 yards. Blink and you missed a goal. Soon after Peter Whittingham's free kick went in off the wall to make it four and then McCormack saw his free kick blocked as City took total control.

Peterborough boo'd their team off and it was game over.

But then it all changed around. The POSH players were sent out early for the second half and made to train on the pitch as punishment for their poor first half effort. Peterborough made two half time subs, changed their shape and changed the game.

From the restart City were on the back foot and it was 1 - 4 and we were laughing that they couldn't pull back four goals surely, 2 - 4, 3 - 4 the writing was on the wall. As 90 mins came up it was 4 - 4 and one of the worst gutless surrenders I've ever seen was complete. Peterborough fans even at 2 - 4 were going home but those that stayed were rewarded with a result they will remember for ever.

City nearly snatched it in stoppage time, a mass scramble in the Peterborough box ended with a City corner that the sub keeper punched away.

City losing on Saturday to the side who were bottom was bad enough. The win for Plymouth took them off the foot of the table leaving Peterborough to prop up the League. To fail to beat them after taken a four goal lead is nothing short of scandalous.

The City players legged it down the tunnel to a chorus of "your'e not fit to wear the shirt".

The point sees City upto 4th place after Leicester's game was called off. It was 2 points dropped though and an embarrasement that has stained this side.

What a message to send out to the rest of the division.

10 years to the day that 8 men held on to earn a draw at Cambridge we couldn't save a four goal lead with 11 men. Quite simply unbelievable.
